Merenre Nemtyemsaf II was a pharaoh of Egypt in the 6th Dynasty (2345-2181 BC), fourth of four dynasties in the Old Kingdom Period. He likely succeeded his Long-lived father Pepi II Neferkare. The Turin King List says that Merenre reigned for only a year, after succeeding his father Pepi II. His name is also mentioned on a stela that was discovered near the site of thepyramid of Neith, perhaps his mother. |
