Note

William died on the 31st July 1856, only 16 years after arriving in the colony. He died of "disease of the liver" at the Infirmery Sydney. He was a clerk to Mr R BRENNAN, and was 38 years old. He was buried in the Presbyterian Cemetry on the 2nd of August 1856. The ceremony was performed by James Fullerton, minister of Scots Church, and the witnesses were Richard Thomas and William Chandler.

William was 21 yrs old when he emigrated. He could read & write. His occupation was a painter & glazier. He arrived with Anne ( Agnes) as a married couple with no children.
Shipping records show their native place as Drumloo, Co. Down, but after research, this is thought to be townland of Drumlough, Parish of Dromore, Barony of Iveagh Lower, lower half.
