Name |
George Benjamin William Stuckenbrok or Stukenbrok (not exactly sure of the spelling of his last name)...George arrived in Australia on the Anglo Saxon Ship from London to Sydney 21 October 1854 aged 29, on his way to Australia he worked on the ship (not sure if this was a way to make money or also to help pay for his passage to Australia) but it is said that he was a Seaman or Marine. After he arrived in Australia he left Sydney and went to work in Sofala, Gold mining Town near Bathurst and Mudgee NSW. It seems he dropped off his last name 'Stukebrok or Stockenbrok', before leaving London as it states on his Passenger listing his last name Williams age 29 from Bremen Germany, left Southhampton 13 July 1854, Master: JG Chapman burthen 766, arrived 23 Oct. 1854. |
