Note	On the marriage certificate of Ann Hewitt, her father is named as Peter Hewitt, occupation Tailor. In 1841 there is an Ann Hewitt living with Peter Hewitt , a Tailor and his wife Martha in Wilmslow, Cheshire. In the 1901 census, Ann's birthplace is stated as Wilmslow, Cheshire. Her age is stated as being 9 years in 1841 and she has a younger brother Benjamin who is 6 years old. If this is correct, I suspect that both Ann and Benjamin are the grandchildren of Peter and Martha and they were possibly illegitimate children of Elizabeth Hewitt, the oldest daughter of Peter and Martha. I have no proof of this but considering the age gap to the next youngest sibling who was Jane born in 1825, it is my best guess. Ann and Benjamin would have seen Peter as their father and so he was stated as such on the marriage certificate of Ann.
