Note	Joan was the Matron of Dr Barnardo's Girls Village Homes at Barkingside, Ilford, Essex in 1911. She returned to the family homes in Brighton Place and Countess Wells Road in Aberdeen where she lived with her older sister Jemima Mary. Both sisters were Spinsters.
